At crowded public transport locations, people need to get from point A to B quickly. It has to be a convenient experience – with few lines and short waiting times. For us, convenience also means reliable elevators, escalators, and moving walks that are optimally located. They should be large enough to handle capacity and easy enough to operate for the disabled and passengers in a full car.

Our products are especially durable and reliable, and can be interfaced with your building management systems. Connecting Downtown to Richmond and Vancouver International Airport is the Canada Line, an automated, rail-based rapid transit service. Linking with existing rail lines at Waterfront Station in Vancouver, the Canada Line adds transit capacity equivalent to 10 major road lanes, helping reduce the impact of vehicles on the environment. The transit line can move 100,000 riders per day.
Schindler installed 38 escalators and 34 hydraulic elevators with glass walls and doors in 15 stations of the Canada Line.
